Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures
  • Serve as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students
  • Verify physician orders and ensure accuracy
  • Independently operate equipment according to protocol
  • Review patient images for diagnostic quality
  • Facilitate departmental operations such as inventory and staff schedules

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of a CAHEA approved formal training program in diagnostic medical sonography
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or registry eligible
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of sonographer experience
  • Advanced certification in area(s) of specialty according to facility need
