Position Overview

HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join a dynamic 12-bed Birthing Center with a neonatal care unit in Newburyport, Massachusetts . This unit delivers approximately 600 babies per year and offers comprehensive care from triage through postpartum and newborn care.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patients and families to ensure positive care outcomes

• Document patient responses to interventions, therapeutic regimens, and education

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, peers, and the healthcare team

• Include patients, families, and caregivers in care decisions while ensuring clarity

• Provide care across all phases: triage, labor, delivery, recovery, C-sections, postpartum, and newborn care

• Attend deliveries when appropriate and implement NRP stabilization protocols

• Respond professionally and efficiently in crisis situations

• Provide post-discharge resources for patients and families

Qualifications

• State of Massachusetts RN license required

• BLS and NRP certifications required

• BSN required

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program

• Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience strongly preferred

Assignment Details

• Shift: Night, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Hours: 36 per week

• Weekend Rotation: Every third weekend

• Duration: 13 weeks
