Overview:
HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN for a travel assignment in Great Falls, MT. This role is ideal for nurses with strong PCU experience and travel experience who are capable of providing high-acuity care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care to hemodynamically stable and predictably unstable patients, including pediatrics, pre/post PCI, pacemaker, revascularization, carotid endarterectomy, thoracotomy, CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure, DVT, PE, sepsis, and post-surgical patients.

• Operate advanced medical equipment including A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, ventilatory support devices, multiple IV pumps, and continuous bladder irrigation.

• Administer and manage common IV medications including Heparin, Diltiazem, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, Dopamine.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and outcomes.

• Provide emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients and families.

• Precept and mentor staff, act as a clinical leader, and support unit operations.

• Provide direct care from admission to discharge, including discharge planning.

• Complement Medical-Surgical Nursing Unit staffing as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in MT (or compact state license).

• Minimum 2 years PCU experience required , 3 years preferred.

• Travel experience required.

• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.

• EPNC, TNCC certification preferred.

• Experience with central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, NG tubes, short-term ventilatory support, and cardiac telemetry.

• Strong critical thinking, leadership, and communication skills.

Assignment Details:

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

• Duration: 13 weeks
