Job Description
Join CarMax as an Automotive Painter and be responsible for the complete paint application process, minor repairs, and ensuring vehicles meet high-quality paint standards. You'll work in a dynamic environment, participating in continuous improvement and customer service initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Complete paint application
Perform minor repairs including sanding and grinding
Conduct paint preparation including color matching and mixing
Engage in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities
Execute standardized work as defined
Ensure vehicles meet CarMax Paint Standards
Maintain and clean equipment as required
Manage inventory levels of personal protective equipment and tools
Ensure workplace cleanliness and organization
Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers
Complete assigned duties by Managers

New Associate Orientation Training - Operations
Accountable to Associate 1 Competency Model
Kronos Training for Hourly Associates
Meet Cosmetic Reconditioning Associate II, Flow Inventory Associate II, Senior Reconditioning Associate and Senior Reconditioning Associate I Performance Standards
Successfully complete Cosmetic Reconditioning Associate II, Flow Inventory Associate II, II Senior Reconditioning Associate, Senior Reconditioning Associate I and II Workstation Certifications
Read, interpret and transcribe data
Discern appropriate paint colors
Perform multiple duties in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
