Job Description

Zen Educate is seeking dedicated Para Educators for K–12 schools in Sacramento for the 2025-2026 school year. In this full-time role, you will make a significant impact by supporting students with special needs and collaborating with teachers to foster effective learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist classroom teacher in maintaining a safe learning environment
  • Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students with special needs
  • Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior management plans
  • Facilitate positive interactions between students with disabilities and peers
  • Support personal care or hygiene needs as necessary

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Experience working with personal care
  • Passion for working within special education
  • U.S. work authorization
  • Professionally proficient in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Past work experience in a school
  • CPR and First Aid
  • CPI Training
