ICU RN – Travel Contract Summary
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week (will accept 48 upon request)
- Primary Location: Deaconess IL Medical Center – Marion, IL
- Shift: 12-Hour Days
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend & every other holiday rotation
- Float Requirement: May float to step-down level care if needed
- On-Call/Call Back: N/A
Required Certifications (must be attached upon submittal):
- Active Illinois RN License (no pending/temp)
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- NIHSS
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (3 years preferred)
- At least 1 completed travel assignment required
Required Skills:
- NIHSS, dysphagia screening
- Strong neuro assessment skills
- Telemetry/EKG interpretation (exam on first day)
- ETT/ventilator management (RT available on unit)
- Initiation/titration of:
- Sedatives, paralytics, cardiac drips, vasoactive, insulin, etc.
- Sepsis care and post-ROSC hypothermia protocol
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Social, adaptable, and resilient
Preferred Skills:
- tPA administration/assessment
- Massive transfusion protocol (Belmont)
Unit Details:
- Unit Type: ICU + Step-down
- Beds: 18 total
- Patient Ratios: ICU – 2:1 | Step-down – 3:1
- Charge Nurse Takes Patients: Yes
- Team: Strong core staff, additional travelers needed due to increased volume

- Scrubs: Navy Blue
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required (subject to change)
- Orientation Week: GSA hours not guaranteed
- Holiday Closures: May affect guaranteed hours
