Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently perform advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures Verify physician orders for accuracy Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding Operate imaging equipment according to protocols Review patient images for diagnostic quality Complete quality control procedures Assist in departmental operations, including inventory and schedules Adapt communication style to specific patient populations Required QualificationsCompletion of a CAHEA approved formal training program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or registry eligible Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Preferred Qualifications2 years Sonographer experience Advanced certification in areas of specialty according to facility need
