Job Description
As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support to Sailors and Marines during their most significant life moments. You will lead worship services, conduct ceremonies, counsel individuals, and oversee religious education, all while enjoying competitive benefits and opportunities for continued education.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct worship services in a variety of settings
Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings, funerals, and baptisms
Counsel individuals seeking guidance
Oversee religious education programs like Sunday school and youth groups
Provide spiritual guidance and care to hospitalized personnel and their families
Train lay leaders for religious education programs
Promote attendance at religious services, retreats, and conferences
Advise leaders regarding morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizen or equivalent
Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense
