Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced OB/GYN Registered Nurse to join our team in Lima, OH. The RN will function within the Health System’s mission, vision, and values, providing comprehensive care to patients while demonstrating flexibility with scheduling and assignments. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation using age-specific criteria. The OB/GYN RN will also assist with first-assist and scrub duties during OB procedures and support the team by directing and teaching non-RN staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective nursing care to OB/GYN patients based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills.

• Serve as a 1st assist and scrub OB RN during procedures.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

• Supervise and guide non-RN staff including LPNs, PCTs, and unit secretaries.

• Demonstrate flexibility with varied shifts and schedule changes.

• Document patient care and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of OB experience – Required

• At least 1 completed travel assignment – Required

• Ability to function as 1st assist and Scrub OB RN – Required

• Certifications (must be active at submission, except BLS may pend):

  • BLS (AHA) – Required (can pend)

  • ACLS (AHA) OR ALSO Certification – Required

  • NRP – Required

  • STABLE Certification – Required

  • Fetal Monitoring Certification – Required
