Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic and be part of a leading provider in waste and recycling services. You will perform critical maintenance and repairs on diesel heavy trucks, ensuring safety and efficiency in our operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment
Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes
Assist with emergency breakdowns when on call
Required Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred)
Experience working on heavy duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
Ability to speak and read English
Meet physical and safety requirements
Provide own tools
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
Experience with troubleshooting/repairing DPF systems and diagnostic software (Premium Tech Tool, Allison, Cummins, CAT, Peterbilt, Paccar)
Knowledge of applicable DOT and OSHA standards and regulations
