This is a part-time (2-4 days/week) primary care medical director role providing patient care in a post-acute care setting in a skilled nursing facilities (SNF) located in Alamo and Brownsville, Tennessee. One-two days a week you will provide oversite of NPs and two days a month you will provide clinical services. No call. This is a W2 part-time position. Clinic hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30a to 4:30a and Friday from 7:30a to 11:30a.
Job Duties - Primary care rounding in 2 skilled nursing facilities
- Manage chronic disease, diagnose illnesses and medical conditions, and implement plan of care
- Collaborate with clinicians, facility leaders and others regarding care and services
- Build relationships with your patients, patients' family members, and facility staff to facilitate effective treatment delivery
- Provide oversight, guidance, and mentorship to our nurse practitioners
- Conduct clinical case reviews as needed and share tools, information, and guidelines as they relate to quality of care
- Represent TeamHealth on appropriate external levels engaging and establishing/maintaining relationships within the post-acute care community
- Collaborate with leadership to review care coordination initiatives, develop collaborative intervention plans, and share ideas about network management issues
Qualifications - Minimum of 2 year primary care experience
- Post-acute care experience a plus, but must see all ages
- Active and unrestricted Tennessee license or application in process
- Active and unrestricted DEA or application in process
Expected compensation is estimated hourly range of $110 to $110 with no cap on productivity income potential plus $4,500 monthly director stipend inclusive of both clinics.
