Position: Nurse Educator – Obstetrical Nursing
Location: Emerson Hospital, MA

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Massachusetts)
• BSN required; MSN in Nursing/Education preferred
• 5+ years clinical nursing (3+ in Maternity/OB)
• Current MA RN License
• BLS & NRP (Instructor certification required)

Job Summary:
The Nurse Educator supports staff development in the Obstetrical Nursing areas by assessing learning needs, developing orientation and competency programs, and implementing educational activities using adult and pediatric learning principles. Acts as a role model, consultant, and resource for clinical staff while participating in hospital committees, performance improvement, policy development, and patient/family education.
