CT Technologist (CT/X-Ray)

Location: Iowa Falls, IA
Facility Type: Hospital (Hansen Family Hospital)
Schedule: 5x8 Hour Day Shifts | Rotating Evenings & Weekends with Call
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks (Option to Extend)
Position Type: Contract | Normal Urgency

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality CT and general radiographic (X-ray and Fluoro) exams as ordered by physicians.
• Ensure accurate patient positioning and image acquisition according to departmental protocols.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including:
  • CT: Canon Prime SP
  • X-Ray/Fluoro: Shimadzu
• Rotate through evening (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) and weekend shifts with call coverage.
• Participate in weekday and weekend call rotation (1 night per week and rotating weekend on-call).
• Maintain proper documentation and patient records in the EMR system.
• Adhere to all radiation safety standards, infection control, and patient privacy policies.
• Provide compassionate and professional patient care, ensuring comfort and safety during exams.

Requirements:

Education & Certification:

• ARRT(R) certification required; ARRT(CT) preferred.
• Active Iowa Radiology License (must be obtained before start date).
• BLS certification (AHA).

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of CT and X-Ray experience in a hospital setting.
• Strong proficiency with cross-sectional anatomy and CT protocols.
• Previous experience with Canon and Shimadzu imaging systems preferred.
