Job Description

Join UnitedHealthcare as a Pharmacy Director to lead pharmacy operations for Ohio's Medicaid Health Plan. This role involves strategic oversight of drug benefits and programs, ensuring compliance while enhancing member access to affordable care. You'll collaborate with various stakeholders to drive innovative healthcare solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee drug benefits, operations, programs, and initiatives for Medicaid Health Plans
  • Develop and execute strategic plans ensuring compliance with state contracts
  • Manage pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) contractual accountabilities
  • Analyze pharmacy/drug financials and present operational plans
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve member experiences
  • Monitor pharmaceutical utilization and identify cost-effective alternatives
  • Coordinate timely reporting and data analytics as required

Required Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Pharmacist license in Ohio
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Clinical Pharmacy, Sales, or Account Management, or 2 years in Managed Care
  • Direct experience with Medicaid/Medicare plans
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced analytics and data skills
  • Experience with government contracts/programs in a PBM or health plan
  • Knowledge of medical drug CPT/HPCS coding
  • Solid clinical knowledge
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and deliver presentations
  • Ability to manage large-scale, complex projects independently
  • Ability to think critically and creatively
  • Ability to travel locally 10% of the time
  • Driver's license and access to reliable transportation
