Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s CVC
Train veterinarians in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter techniques
Support a positive work culture through regular feedback and coaching
Perform pre-surgery physical examinations and spay/neuter surgical procedures
Provide compassionate and quality preventive care to patients
Schedule staff for optimal coverage
Participate in meetings regarding veterinary medicine and research
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
Fear Free® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
