Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Position Type: Local Assignment 

 

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) with at least 6+ years of healthcare leadership, preferably in large or complex hospital settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in union environments and managing structural or departmental change, with strong strategic planning and execution skills. The CNO will oversee nursing operations, ensure high-quality patient care, and drive initiatives that enhance clinical outcomes and organizational efficiency.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for all nursing operations across the organization.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Lead and mentor nursing staff, fostering professional development and a high-performing team.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and staffing while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive patient care initiatives, improve outcomes, and support organizational goals.

 Requirements:

  • Valid NY State RN license
  • A Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration or a related field.
  • Eight (8) years of satisfactory nursing experience, six (6) years of which must have been in administration or management
