The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Ballinger Memorial Hospital will assess, diagnose, treat, and prevent patients with communication and swallowing disorders. This role involves developing treatment plans, providing therapy, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients' speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings
Provide therapy and interventions to improve patients' functional communication skills
Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
Stay updated on current research and best practices in speech-language pathology
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Licensed by the Texas Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
Proficiency in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Compassion and patience in working with patients of all ages and backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
1 year experience preferred, but not required
