The Area Sales Director will lead a team of Specialty Account Managers, overseeing all sales aspects in a defined geography. This role is crucial for driving sales results, fostering a compliant and engaged culture, and maintaining key customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Recruit, train and retain top talent
Drive area sales performance to meet or exceed annual company sales goals
Evaluate market dynamics and build business plans
Build/manage relationships with customers and manufacturers
Evaluate the performance of account managers
Adhere to compliance requirements
Travel throughout the assigned area (50-70% overnight travel required)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 5 years pharmaceutical, medical, diagnostic, or specialty pharmacy sales or equivalent experience including 2 years of sales management
Proven, consistent and documented track record of top sales results
Ability to multi-task and change direction frequently
Valid driver's license and reliable automobile
Preferred Qualifications
IVIG or home infusion experience
Experience hiring and ramping top talent
Coaching and mentoring team members to achieve quota
