Experience Requirements
- Minimum experience: 2 years, with no gaps in recent work history.
- Preferred: Previous travel experience.
Required Certifications
ACLS, AHA Certifications Only, BLS
Shift Notes
Four 10-hour shifts Monday-Friday (random day off) plus on call shifts!
Unit Notes
Important Deadlines:
- All paperwork due: Wednesday at NOON (MST) the week before start date.
- Permanent address requirement: Must be at least 25 miles from the facility location.

- Ablations (AFib, AFlutter, VT)
- Devices – ICD, Pacemaker, Bi-V ICD, Watchman

Job Duties
- Circulate and Monitor.
- Prefer a nurse with scrub experience in the EP lab sterile field (minimum 1 year, more preferred).
- Maintain a sterile environment.
Certifications Required
Required Experience / Skills
- EP Lab Scrub Experience: At least 1 year (preferred more).
- Previous Travel Experience: Preferred.
- EMR Experience: EPIC required.
- Equipment/Systems: Epic, MacLab/Cardiolab, Biosense Webster mapping.
Scheduling & Shifts
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 0700–1730 (4×10-hour shifts).
- Education Day: Friday — Travelers are expected to attend.
- Self/Block Scheduling: Not specified; currently standard scheduling.
Call Requirements
- Weeknight Call: 3 call nights per month (5p–7a).
- Weekend Call: 1 weekend per month (Friday–Sunday).
- Holiday Call: Part of regular call rotation (4-person call team; travelers included).
- Call Response Time: 20 minutes.
Staffing & Leadership
- Cardiologist: In lab during the day; half-call after hours. Off days are clinic days.
- Manager/Charge: Cath Lab Coordinator.
- Cath Lab Techs: Paramedic, EMT, or Rad Tech.
Floating
- No floating to IR.
- May float to Cath Lab to assist with circulating and monitoring.
Dress Code
- Scrubs provided by the facility.
Orientation
- Unit-specific orientation: One week after onboarding.
Additional Notes
- EP procedures currently performed Monday and Thursday.
- An interventionalist is also available to perform certain procedures.
