Operating Room Nurse Charge Nurse (Full Time)

Orthopedic and Pain Management Abulatory Surgery Center is seeking a Full-Time OR RN Circulator Charge Nurse. No weekends, nights, holidays, or call.

Assume total responsibility for patient care in the Operating Room in accordance with the physicians' orders and center policies.

Team leader for all OR co-workers.

Ensures that the OR team receives communication and updates timely.

Circulate cases when needed.

Ensure staff get appropriate breaks/lunches.

Complete the schedule for all OR co-workers.

Work with the Clinical Nurse Manager/Director on day-to-day staffing.

Follow up with OR co-workers on process improvements and process issues.

Continually evaluate the OR workflow and look for ways to improve patient flow from pre-op, OR and into PACU.

Daily review of the OR schedule and communicate with Clinical Manager/Director, Materials Manager, SPD and radiology to ensure all proper equipment is ready for the surgical schedule.

Work closely with the Pre-Op/PACU charge nurse to ensure the entire center works well as a team to take care of patients on a day-to-day basis.

Ensure OR staff is following center procedures, policies and expectations.

Experience Required

• Minimum of 5 years OR Circulating Experience

Preferred

• Scrub experience preferred by not required

Education Required

• Associates or better in Nursing

Preferred

• Bachelors or better in Nursing

Licenses & Certifications Required

• Advanced Cardiac Life Sup
• Basic Life Support
