As an Inventory Specialist at Walgreens, you will be responsible for executing and monitoring inventory best practices and supporting pharmacy inventory management. You'll engage with customers, ensuring a positive experience while maintaining compliance with inventory regulations, and coaching team members on effective inventory processes.
Key Responsibilities
Execute and monitor inventory best practices and standard operating procedures
Support pharmacy inventory management activities including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns
Engage customers and resolve issues to ensure a positive customer experience
Maintain inventory compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
Coach team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes
Ensure accurate inventory counts and assist in physical inventory preparations
Communicate tasks to team members and report issues to management
Required Qualifications
Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens or one year of prior retail work experience
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Achieving expectations rating on last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months (internal candidates only)
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi-task and manage execution
Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate
Prior work experience with Walgreens, with an evaluation on file
