Job Description

As an Inventory Specialist at Walgreens, you will be responsible for executing and monitoring inventory best practices and supporting pharmacy inventory management. You'll engage with customers, ensuring a positive experience while maintaining compliance with inventory regulations, and coaching team members on effective inventory processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor inventory best practices and standard operating procedures
  • Support pharmacy inventory management activities including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns
  • Engage customers and resolve issues to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Maintain inventory compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
  • Coach team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes
  • Ensure accurate inventory counts and assist in physical inventory preparations
  • Communicate tasks to team members and report issues to management

Required Qualifications

  • Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens or one year of prior retail work experience
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Achieving expectations rating on last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months (internal candidates only)
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi-task and manage execution
  • Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate
  • Prior work experience with Walgreens, with an evaluation on file
