NICU Travel Nurse - Unit Summary
? Screening Requirement:

Do NOT submit candidates with license issues involving medication diversion or endangerment — will result in immediate contract termination.

? Experience & Skills Required
EPIC EMR experience: Required (100%)

NICU experience: Minimum 2 years (strict)

Must be able to manage:

Gestations ≥32 weeks

Weight >1500 grams

Proficient in:

NC, HFNC, CPAP, NAVA

Conventional vents, feeding pumps

Must titrate drips (e.g. BP meds, insulin, TPN/D10)

Level: II NICU

Beds: 20 (12 operational currently)

Ratios: 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity/staffing

No nurse aides

? Common Patient Diagnoses
Prematurity, BPD, HIE, Sepsis/Meningitis

Feeding Intolerance, Hyperbilirubinemia

NOWS/ESC, Respiratory Support

Neonatologist: Not on-site 24/7

ARNP/PA: Yes, available

Charge RN / House Supervisor: Both present

RT equipment: HFOV, HFJV, conventional vent, CPAP, HFNC, NC

RN reads strips: Yes

Shifts: 3x12s/week

Schedule length: 4 weeks
