Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you'll lead a dedicated team delivering high-quality veterinary care to underserved communities. You will support and train fellow veterinarians, ensuring the welfare of animals while maximizing community impact.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at veterinary clinics
Train veterinarians in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter techniques
Support a positive work culture through regular feedback and coaching
Perform pre-surgery examinations and high-volume spay/neuter procedures
Provide compassionate veterinary care and manage clinic operations
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Leadership abilities in challenging situations
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Preferred Qualifications
Previous people management experience
