Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you'll provide critical evaluations and treatments to improve patient communication. Collaborate in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment and contribute to community education while mentoring students.
Key Responsibilities
Provides treatments to patients by evaluating function and selecting appropriate treatments
Participates in an interdisciplinary approach for community education and clinical education of students
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards
Conducts and modifies evaluations based on patient's symptoms and medical status
Treats patients with appropriate therapeutic techniques
Educates patients/families in home exercise programs and functional activities
Supervises at least one affiliated student per year
Attends continuing education courses to improve treatment techniques
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Holds or is eligible for current Connecticut license
Eligible or has a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association
Valid drivers' license for occasional travel between ECHN business sites
