Registered Nurse (RN) – Trauma ICU Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Shift: 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours/week
Assignment Duration: 11/24/2025 – 02/21/2026
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to trauma and critical care patients with complex medical needs.
- Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products per physician orders.
- Monitor and interpret physiological data to identify changes in patient condition.
- Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments accurately.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff and ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain high standards of safety and compliance with all hospital protocols.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of recent Level I Trauma ICU experience (must have directly worked in ICU at a Level I trauma center)
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Cardiac experience required (or a combination of cardiac and neuro experience)
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills
- Proficient in managing multiple high-acuity patients in a fast-paced setting
- Basic computer and charting proficiency
Education:
- Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Licensure & Certifications:
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or Compact Multistate RN License (eNLC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
- Preferred: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN)
