Key Responsibilities
Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions and workflow/routing
Provide technical input and peer review to engineering designs
Provide technical guidance and problem solving to factory engineers
Apply manufacturing engineering skillsets to resolve constraints and improve designs
Serve as the manufacturing authority within the program
Recommend process changes for cost, efficiency, and quality
Collaborate with a multi-disciplined team to improve producibility
Identify and resolve constraints across the program
Participate in corrective action investigations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering)
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Experience working in manufacturing production
Experience with manufacturing process development or improvement
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to identify, reduce and eliminate cost, quality and schedule constraints
Technical drawing interpretation and proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (CREO/ProE preferred)
Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude
Experience with technical writing and interpreting technical drawings
Experience with MRP systems
Experience with Manufacturing Readiness Assessments
Current DoD security clearance (secret)
