Job Description

Join Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare as a Paramedic Transport team member, providing critical care for pediatric patients during transport. You'll work collaboratively to ensure high-quality pre-hospital and inter-facility care, while making a significant impact on the lives of patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care for ill/injured patients during transport
  • Relay patient condition information to medical control
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based care plans
  • Comply with Pedi-Flite and hospital policies
  • Participate in quality improvement and marketing for the Pedi-Flite program
  • Serve as an educator and resource provider for critical care services
  • Assist team leader in obtaining patient histories and performing assessments
  • Identify and stabilize emergency care for various age groups
  • Conduct pre-mission briefings and assist with aircraft safety
  • Model appropriate behavior according to MLH Mission, Vision, and Values

Required Qualifications

  • Technical Degree or Diploma in Paramedic
  • 1-3 years driving an ambulance
  • 5-7 years as an Emergency Medical Technician
  • 3-5 years as a Paramedic
  • Class D License with F (For-Hire Endorsement) - Tennessee Motor Vehicle
  • Mississippi EMS Driver certification
  • Paramedic certification in Mississippi and Tennessee
  • BASIC LIFE SUPPORT certification
  • Heartsaver CPR AED certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in emergency medical services with pediatric patients
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification
  • Pediatric Trauma Life Support certification
  • STABLE - Neonatal certification
