Job Description
Citizens is seeking a Business Banking SBA Business Development Officer to drive loan opportunities using the SBA 7(a) and 504 programs. You will develop business strategies, maintain referral networks, and ensure compliance while fostering collaboration within the team to enhance customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a personal business plan and marketing strategy
Maintain a referral network targeting business brokers, consultants, and related professionals
Structure, present, and guide lending opportunities through the application process
Maintain understanding of bank credit policy and underwriting guidelines
Participate in local SBA district events
Develop and manage a pipeline of SBA loan opportunities
Establish and maintain strong referral networks
Collaborate with Business Banking partners for customer-centric experience
Foster collaboration with internal stakeholders
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in SBA lending
In-depth knowledge of SBA loan programs, underwriting guidelines, and compliance requirements
Strong understanding of financial analysis, credit underwriting, and risk assessment
Exceptional sales and negotiation skills
Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field
