Job Description

Join Sysco as a Fleet Technician 1, where you will assist experienced technicians in maintaining a fleet of vehicles. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn quality preventive maintenance and repairs, ensuring vehicle reliability and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Learn to perform inspections and preventive maintenance under guidance.
Perform FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles.
Execute quality preventive maintenance inspections.
Conduct maintenance repairs under guidance.
Address driver vehicle inspection report write-ups.
Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications.
Document all work performed using complaint, cause, and correction format.
Develop efficiency in Sysco computer programs.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Current and valid driver's license (CDL Preferred)
Basic knowledge and skill of all vehicle systems and components
Basic knowledge and skill in diagnosis and repair of electrical systems on all equipment
Basic knowledge and skill in welding and cutting (gas, electric, MIG, TIG)
Basic computer skills and knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training 2-year school
Annual Inspector Certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Brake Inspector Certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
ASE certifications – Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks
609 HVAC Certification
Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEM’s and component manufacturers
