• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12 Hour Days (7:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2100-$2250

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
• BLS certification (required)
• CNOR certification (preferred for operating room nurse jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent operating room nursing experience
• Proven ability to scrub neuro or ortho cases (required)
• Vascular and robotic surgery experience (preferred)
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred)

OR RN Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments for pediatric through geriatric populations
• Provide expert perioperative nursing care and direct patient support
• Demonstrate proficiency with emergency equipment and operating room procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and surgical progress
• Enhance patient satisfaction through professional communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification standards
• Customize patient care based on procedure and anesthesia type, monitoring patient reactions
• Educate patients and families about surgical processes, including pre- and post-operative assessments
• Support Pre Admission Testing (PAT) and review orders for accuracy
• Utilize safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics in the operating room
