Job Description
Join Zen Educate as a Teaching Assistant in SPED classrooms, where you'll support lead teachers and empower students with specialized needs. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills in a rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) or Individualized Education Plan (IEPs)
Provide one-on-one or small group support using positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies
Collaborate with teachers to maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
Work closely with teachers, parents, and staff for effective student support
Support with personal care or hygiene as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
Experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations
English proficiency
U.S. work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Special Education, particularly with moderate to severe behaviors
ABA Therapy
Behavior Technician Experience or AAC Devices
Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies
CPR and First Aid
CPI or Pro Act Training
