Job Description

The Environmental Compliance Manager at Clean Harbors oversees regulatory functions to ensure compliance with environmental laws and safety standards. This role involves conducting audits, advising management, and providing training while fostering a commitment to health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts formal and systematic reviews of the facility for compliance with regulations.
  • Identifies problems and recommends corrections for non-compliance.
  • Advises management on operational measures to correct non-compliant activities.
  • Applies for and maintains environmental permits.
  • Prepares and maintains environmentally related plans and procedures.
  • Prepares reports and documents as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Provides environmental training.
  • Acts as liaison between facilities and regulatory personnel.
  • Coordinates regulatory personnel during facility inspections.
  • Monitors regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
  • Provides guidance on environmental regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA
  • 2+ Year Environmental compliance experience
  • Knowledge of and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) laws/regulations
  • RCRA 40 CFR hazardous waste management knowledge
  • Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Environmental Science or Engineering
