A board-certified Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician providing outpatient care focused on managing musculoskeletal and spinal cord injuries. Responsibilities include Botox treatments for spasticity, joint injections, electrodiagnostic studies, and overseeing up to 20 inpatient rehab patients during on-call weekends. Works collaboratively with nursing and medical assistant staff in a clinic setting using Epic EMR.
Job Description
Physiatrist (PM&R) Locum Need
Schedule: Four days per week (8:00 AM 5:00 PM), plus one weekend of 24-hour call per month
Coverage Dates (Weeks of):
Starting January 1, 2025 Ongoing
Coverage needed weekly 4 weeks per month
Scope of Practice:
Outpatient clinic-based care
Botox treatments for spasticity management (required)
Management of spinal cord injury and general musculoskeletal PM&R conditions
Optional: Joint injections and electrodiagnostic studies (preferred)
Full patient clinic schedule
One 24-hour weekend call per month (coverage for up to 20 inpatient rehab patients)
Support Structure:
No supervision required
Clinic supported by RN and MA staff
No mid-levels to supervise
Requirements:
Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (ABPMR)
Active BLS certification
Proficient in Botox for spasticity management
EMG and joint injection experience preferred
Team-oriented and collaborative
