Job Description
Join Albany Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse III in the Elective Orthopedics unit, where you will care for post-surgical patients and orthopedic trauma cases. You will make a positive impact by providing compassionate care and collaborating with your team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Implements physician orders and administers medications
Starts IVs and performs treatments, procedures, and special tests
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests
Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses
Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care
Directs and guides ancillary personnel
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program
Current NYS Registered Nurse license
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational and time-management skills
Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools
