Responsibilities The Phlebotomist functions as a laboratory professional who performs specimen collection techniques or specimen collection instructions that include: venipuncture, capillary draws, urine collection instruction, and specimen culture collection instruction. Qualifications Job Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or previous phlebotomy experience. Certification from a nationally recognized agency.
