Job Description

Join Select Specialty Hospital as a Respiratory Therapy Manager and lead a dedicated team in providing exceptional care for critically ill patients. With a significant $15,000 sign-on bonus, you'll oversee department operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a supportive environment for both staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall function and professional growth of the respiratory therapy department
  • Provide consultation regarding pulmonary disorders and respiratory therapy practices
  • Ensure quality respiratory care and routine monitoring
  • Conduct staff interviews, performance evaluations, and employee training
  • Implement company standards of care, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain clinical cost control and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate Pulmonary Rounds and maintain communication with pulmonary physicians
  • Promote continuous quality improvement and staff development
  • Teach and counsel patients and their families

Required Qualifications

  • Current State License
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Five years experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an Acute Care setting
  • Two years supervisory experience
