CVOR RN Job Details – Burlington, VT

• Location: Burlington, Vermont 05401
• Healthcare Setting: Large academic teaching hospital (500+ beds)
• Assignment Duration: 16 weeks (Start: 11/17/2025 – End: 3/8/2026)
• Nursing Shift: Four 10-hour day shifts (06:45–17:15) per week, with one/two 12-hour weekday calls (19:00–07:15) and one full weekend of call every 5 weeks
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2800–$3000 per week
• Holiday Coverage: Must work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
• On-Site Registered Nurse Position

CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Vermont or compact state
• BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent operating room (OR) RN experience, specializing in cardiovascular/open heart procedures
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience in large (500+ beds), academic, teaching hospital required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
• Flexible scheduling to meet unit and patient care needs
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not accessible)
• Vehicles must have all-season or snow tires November–April

CVOR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver expert perioperative nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Participate in rotating day/evening shifts and on-call coverage as scheduled
• Float to other operating room suites (general, orthopedic, neuro, ENT, etc.) as needed (circulating only, no scrubbing required)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR
• Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic surgical environment
• Comply with hospital policies and procedures, including holiday and weekend coverage requirements
