Skagit Radiology is looking for a Clinical Applications Administrator to support and optimize the systems that help deliver exceptional imaging services to our community. This is a key hybrid role based in Mount Vernon, WA, blending technical expertise with a deep understanding of clinical workflows.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll serve as a bridge between clinical teams and IT, ensuring our software systems run smoothly and support high-quality patient care. Your day-to-day will involve:

Administering and maintaining clinical applications, including installations, updates, and configurations

Providing technical support and troubleshooting for clinical software

Collaborating with clinicians to tailor applications to real-world needs

Ensuring data accuracy, privacy, and security

Training users to effectively navigate and utilize clinical systems

Monitoring performance and implementing system improvements

Coordinating with vendors for support, upgrades, and enhancements

Supporting RIS, PACS, and EMPI systems to ensure smooth integration and accurate records

Managing patient data integrity, including merges and demographic corrections

Assisting with compliance audits for MQSA and CMS

Helping implement new applications and system features

What We’re Looking For

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Healthcare Informatics, or related field

Experience with clinical application administration in a healthcare setting

Strong understanding of healthcare IT standards and clinical workflows

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

A collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred:

Experience with RIS/PACS systems

Familiarity with HL7, DICOM, and HIPAA standards

Experience in patient file reconciliation, non-DICOM import, and database updates

Working knowledge of EHR integrations and medical record systems

Working Environment & Physical Requirements

This hybrid role includes both office-based and occasional on-site hospital work. You should be comfortable:

Using a computer for extended periods

Lifting up to 15 lbs

Engaging in frequent communication with staff and vendors

Working in environments where temperature and noise may vary
