Job Description
Join Providence Health and Services as a Senior Medical Assistant in Oncology, where you'll provide vital clinical and administrative support in a patient-focused environment. Your role will enhance patient care by ensuring efficient clinic operations and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling of new patients and follow-up clinic appointments
Acquiring insurance verifications, referrals, and authorizations
Preparing and maintaining patient medical records
Reconciling billing issues
Answering multiple phone lines and triaging calls
Acting as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers
Required Qualifications
Graduate of certified medical assistant program
Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
1 year of medical assistant experience in a healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with emphasis in Health Care
Experienced in obtaining insurance verifications, referrals and authorizations
Experience with Epic
