💉 Radiology Staff Nurse (RN) 💉

🕓 Schedule: Full-time | 40 hours/week
🗓️ Shift: 4x10s (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday, variable day off)
📞 Call: Rotating call M–F (6 PM–11 PM), Sat/Sun (7 AM–11 PM). Holidays and weekends as needed.

🏥 Position Overview

Reporting to the IR Section Leader, the Radiology Staff Nurse provides high-quality nursing care to inpatients and outpatients of all ages — pediatric, adult, and geriatric — including acutely and chronically ill patients.
The nurse will assist with radiological procedures, manage emergencies, and ensure patient privacy, dignity, and safety throughout all processes.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver optimal patient care following departmental policies and nursing processes.
2. Prioritize patient needs and act as a strong patient advocate.
3. Assess and monitor patient condition, including vital signs and EKG changes; take appropriate interventions.
4. Recognize, document, and assist in treating contrast reactions.
5. Provide immediate intervention during emergency situations.
6. Assist radiologists with specialized procedures requiring professional nursing skills.
7. Administer and monitor conscious sedation.
8. Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation.
9. Ensure continuity of care for critically ill patients.
10. Operate specialized medical equipment (infusion pumps, monitors, ventilators, O₂ equipment, etc.).
11. Maintain accurate documentation of patient status and nursing interventions.
12. Adhere to all patient identification and safety protocols.
13. Educate patients and families on procedures and health maintenance.

💼 Experience Required

• 3–5 years of nursing experience
• Critical Care (ICU or ER) experience strongly preferred

⚙️ Skills & Competencies

• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices and clinical judgment
• Proficient in physical assessment, aseptic techniques, IV therapy, and universal precautions
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent customer service and patient-care focus
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to maintain confidential records

🎓 Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required
• Massachusetts RN License – Required
