Job Description

Join Fisher Industries as a Quality Control Technician and play a vital role in ensuring the quality of aggregates, asphalt, and concrete. This position involves both laboratory and field testing, requiring travel to various work sites. You'll work closely with clients and colleagues, adhering to safety protocols while contributing to innovative infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform aggregate, asphalt, and/or concrete laboratory testing using approved methods
  • Gather, test, and log samples of material
  • Perform field testing at project sites under construction
  • Interact professionally with client representatives and co-workers
  • Adhere to safety policies and demonstrate safe work practices
  • Maintain accurate records of testing results
  • Assist in research, data collection, field observation, inspection, and testing
  • Obtain and maintain current certifications as required
  • Safely operate nuclear gauge in accordance with company procedures
  • Accept guidance from senior personnel
  • Maintain qualifications to operate company vehicles
  • Comply with OSHA/MSHA and company safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Geotechnical Experience
  • Required ATTI Certifications
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy
  • Self-starter with the ability to work effectively with limited supervision
  • Basic math skills
  • Good communication and computer skills
  • Ability to lift and move up to 65 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of previous experience in aggregate, asphalt, and/or concrete related lab and field testing
  • Job related certifications
