Lincoln Electric is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its Mentor, OH plant to join the Plant Engineering team. This role involves managing capital projects and providing engineering support to improve equipment reliability, health and safety, and operational costs while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Work in a team on capital and strategic projects for production facilities
Responsible for mechanical aspects of projects including facilities preparation, equipment design and installation
Work on engineering solutions to improve equipment reliability and safety
Engineer solutions complying with ISO 14001 and EHS initiatives
Interface with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, R&D, QA, and Supply Management
Provide technical support to Production and Maintenance departments
Manage outside engineering and construction personnel
Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental regulations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 3+ years professional experience for Level II Engineer
Minimum of 5+ years professional experience for Level III Engineer
Good judgment
Self-motivated
Safety conscious
Strong desire to take ownership and drive results
Ability to handle a variety of assignments and changing priorities
Ability to perform hands-on work effectively on the shop floor
Ability to handle small to medium-sized projects and day-to-day shop support with supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Solid Edge CAD modelling software
Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EPA and OSHA standards
