Job Description
Join CalPortland as an Industrial Surface Mine Electrician, where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems at our aggregate production facility. Your expertise will ensure efficient operations and safety in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Maintains and troubleshoots electrical equipment and power distribution
Establishes procedures to locate and correct electrical problems
Performs high and low voltage splices and terminations
Installs and maintains power controls on equipment
Performs maintenance to repair or replace defective parts
Troubleshoots electrical problems in power circuits
Performs electrical tests to determine issues
Performs adjustments and calibration procedures
Conducts preventative maintenance on equipment
Collaborates with other departments for electrical support
Maintains an electronic log of highlights during shift
Performs work area inspections
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High school diploma/GED
3-5 years' experience in Industrial Electrical field
Experience in troubleshooting techniques
Familiarity with NFP 70E
Ability to read and comprehend electrical blueprints and schematics
Proven experience in mechanical, electrical and electronic maintenance troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications
Strong computer skills
Interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Good driving record
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
