Job Description
The Medical Director at The Jewish Board leads clinical operations at a Coordinated Community Behavioral Health Center. This role involves guiding clinicians, ensuring integrated care, and providing direct client services while promoting best practices in psychiatric care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and guidance to clinicians and programs at a CCBHC
Lead clinical team meetings and support psychiatric best practices
Assist with clinical consultations and prescription coverage
Support recruitment efforts by interviewing psychiatric candidates
Supervise NPP students and Psych providers
Provide direct client services
Required Qualifications
Active New York State medical license
DEA registration
Specialty or considerable experience in Substance Use Treatment
Federal DATA 2000 waiver (buprenorphine-certified)
Preferred Qualifications
Subspecialty board certification in addiction psychiatry
Certification from the American Society of Addiction Medicine
Certification by the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM)
Subspecialty board certification in Addiction Medicine from the American Osteopathic Association
