Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action
Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions
Perform basic welding activities for repairs
Troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s)
Perform and assign preventive maintenance on facility and production assets
Manage and assign all equipment maintenance
Oversee regulatory and environmental compliance requirements
Monitor training status of technicians
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System
Train and develop maintenance partners
Required Qualifications
High school diploma and/or GED
Knowledgeable in maintenance equipment including wiring, electrical, mechanical, electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing
Minimum of 3 years of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience in Hand & Power tools
Lockout / Tagout experience
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
Must pass UniFirst’s maintenance knowledge assessment
Must be at least 21 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background
Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising maintenance personnel
Maintenance administration experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting
Applicable military experience
