Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate SLP - SLP to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Napa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide speech-language pathology services for adult and geriatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing assessments
• Perform bedside swallow evaluations and interpret modified barium swallow studies
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with stroke, TBI, trauma, cardiac, spinal injuries, neurological disorders, and amputations
• Provide therapy for dysphagia, dysarthria, voice disorders, fluency issues, and cognitive-communication impairments
• Manage tracheostomy and ventilator-dependent patients including Passy Muir valve applications
• Modify diet orders and implement thickening agents as appropriate
• Conduct patient and family education sessions
• Document patient care using Epic charting system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and other healthcare professionals
• Complete reassessments and discharge planning as required
• Float between acute care floors and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Maintain current BLS certification and valid state licensure
• Work one weekend day per week
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required training modules pre-start and annually
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
