Job Description

Join Raytheon's Software Configuration Management team as a Senior Software Configuration Management Engineer. This role involves ensuring the integrity of digital products throughout their life cycle, utilizing innovative solutions and tools to enhance efficiency and support product development. Your expertise will be pivotal in coordinating configuration management processes and leading digital product releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, enforce and coordinate CM and tool processes and procedures
  • Configuration Planning & Identification, Change Management & Version Control
  • Status Accounting & Configuration Audits
  • Manage digital product development/media libraries
  • Document and maintain guidelines and standards for dependency management
  • SWCM Tool administration and manage access to tool applications
  • Facilitate the Digital Change Review Boards
  • Maintain familiarity with program schedule and budget
  • Coordinate data transfers and courier support
  • Lead coordination of various digital product releases

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience
  • Experience with version control and change management/agile planning tools
  • Software Configuration Management technology experience
  • Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux Operating Systems
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge in Software Configuration Management principles
  • Experience with SWCM tools like Microsoft Azure DevOps Server, Git, BitBucket
  • Experience with scripting programming languages (Perl, shell, Python, Ruby, YAML)
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
  • Database / SWCM tool administration experience
  • Experience with software industry best practices such as CMMI
