We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Radiation Oncologist for a 15-day locum tenens assignment in Oregon, beginning Jan 5, 2026. This opportunity features day shifts from 7am to 5pm and a defined schedule of intermittent coverage dates across several months. The ideal candidate will join a multidisciplinary oncology team to provide comprehensive evaluation and management for patients requiring radiation therapy.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients requiring radiation therapy
  • Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans in collaboration with dosimetrists and physicists
  • Conduct on-treatment visits, follow-up appointments, and consultations with referring physicians
  • Participate in tumor boards and collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams
  • Ensure accurate documentation, quality assurance, and adherence to safety protocols
  • Contribute to a compassionate, patient-centered care environment within the cancer program

Additional Information

  • Board certification or eligibility in Radiation Oncology required
  • Active Oregon medical license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • At least 2 years of post-training clinical experience preferred
  • Prior experience in a hospital-based or comprehensive cancer center setting strongly desired
  • Skilled in treatment planning and modern radiation delivery techniques
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary oncology team
  • Familiarity with community-based cancer programs is a plus
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care
