Job Description

Join Cooper University Health Care as a Patient Services Representative, where you will provide exceptional patient support and ensure smooth registration processes. Your role is vital in enhancing patient experiences and contributing to a collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greets patients and guests utilizing AIDET
  • Performs all registration functions including updating/validating demographics and insurance information
  • Makes appointments for patients efficiently
  • Collects co-pays and reconciles cash drawer
  • Performs non-clinical administrative duties including documentation and communication
  • Maintains working knowledge of regulatory standards
  • Adjusts to patient volume and multitasks in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of recent registration or billing experience in a medical facility
  • Proficiency in patient registration, scheduling, medical insurance pre-certifications, authorizations and referrals
  • Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills
  • Customer service oriented attitude/behavior

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic experience
  • Demonstrated performance of excellent customer service skills
