Job Description

Join Kaiser as a Licensed Masters Mental Health Professional, where you'll provide essential mental health assessment and treatment services to adults and children. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to design individualized treatment plans and make a significant impact on the lives of those struggling with mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, coordinates, and evaluates clinical treatment programs
  • Provides outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups
  • Instructs and counsels patients and their families on therapeutic regimens
  • Prepares intake summaries, treatment plans, and maintains confidential records
  • Collaborates with physicians to evaluate patients for psychotropic medications
  • May supervise Post Masters Fellows and provide support to members' families
  • Utilizes community resources for member treatment needs
  • Reports safety concerns to mandated reporting agencies

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare from a clinical track, Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California) OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California) OR Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California)
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire
  • Familiar with DSM-V for diagnosis
  • Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating psychiatric conditions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards
  • Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice and psychotherapy research methods
  • Knowledge of bio-psycho-social functions contributing to mental health
  • Competence in individual, family, and group psychotherapy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous post-license experience in psychiatric treatment team
  • Experience in crisis intervention and individual/group psychotherapy
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality of service and teamwork
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks in a timely manner
